Azerbaijan and Iran agree on further transport cooperation Investment

Chairman of CJSC Azerbaijani Railways (ADY) Javid Gurbanov has received Ali Nurzad, Deputy Minister of Roads & Urban Development of Iran.
ADY reports that in the course of the meeting the parties covered the progress of the construction of a railway bridge across the Astara River within the North-South Project.
"During the meeting Gurbanov stressed the need to accelerate work on the construction of section of the North-South Project to run through Azerbaijan and which will increase the transit potential of the country," ADY informed.
In his turn, Nurzad stated that the North-South Project will contribute to the expansion of Azerbaijani-Iranian economic relationships.
"The parties made a decision on continuation of bilateral cooperation," ADY reported.
